A Three-Phase Separator is a piece of equipment used to separate a fluid mixture into three different phases - gas, liquid (oil or hydrocarbon), and water. Widely used in the oil, natural gas and petrochemical industry, this equipment plays a critical role in production processes. OVACO ENGINEERING manufactures high performance and durable three phase separators in accordance with international standards.
Function of Three-Phase Separators:
Gas-Liquid Separation:
Separates the gas phase from the mixture and discharges the gas.
Hydrocarbon-Water Separation:
Separates liquid phases (oil and water) based on density difference.
Purification:
Fulfills process requirements by separately purifying gas, water and oil phases.
Working Principle of Three Phase Separators:
Inlet:
The mixture enters the inlet section of the separator and the flow is slowed down with the help of speed reducers.
Gas Separation:
The gas, being less dense, goes upwards and is discharged through the gas outlet.
Separation of Liquid Phases:
Water accumulates at the bottom because it has a higher density.
The oil or hydrocarbon phase is located above the water.
Outlet:
Each phase is removed from the system separately through special discharge points.
